Job Description:
Technical Staffing Resources (TSR) are the in-house agency and master vendor for KBR who are a leading global engineering, construction, and services company.

We are looking to recruit a Lead Static (Tanks) Engineer on a 12 month contract based in Leatherhead, Surrey.

Purpose of the Role:
Provides engineering leadership to the PMC mechanical team of the Project in the area of LNG storage tanks, atmospheric storage tanks and bullets. During the EXECUTE phase, supervises the tank scope of work of the EPC Contractor. Checks for contractual compliance, safety, and quality from the EPC Contractor. This would involve managing multiple tasks and stakeholders, coordinating with the EPC Contractor, and ensuring that all work is completed safely and to the required quality standards.
Responsibilities / Skills:
1. Ensure that all tank work is completed to the required quality standards.
2. Participate as required in quality audits by the PMC quality group.
3. Provide mechanical support in the acceptance of concession requests and non-conformance.
4. Provide input to a detailed project plan for the tank subgroup outlining all the necessary activities, timelines, and milestones.
5. Line manages the tank subgroup.
6. Attend progress meetings as required to provide commentary on budget and EPC progress.
7. Produce weekly report on EPC Contractor which highlights any concerns.
8. Review the tank design documents prepared by the EPC Contractor, ensuring that they meet all project specifications, safety requirements, and applicable standards and regulations.
9. Address any issues or concerns to the EPC Contractor by the tank team.
10. Review EPC Contractor’s documentation including requisitions, specifications, datasheets for contractual compliance, safety, and quality.
11. Oversee the EPC Contractors procurement and Supplier contract management of the tank equipment required for the project.
12. Attend bid clarification meetings as a ADNOC RLNG representative.
13. Review and present deviations against standard codes.
14. Review final technical evaluation report and provide feedback on scope of supply.
15. Spot check EPC Contractor review of Supplier documentation for quality and contractual compliance.
16. Attend Supplier HAZOP & FAT as RLNG representative.
17. Complete Supplier evaluation reports.
18. Support the PMC construction team during tank construction activities.
19. Support construction and inspection team with tank technical assistance, including concession requests, site modifications approval.
20. Commissioning: support the PMC commissioning team during the mechanical equipment commissioning.
21. Safeguard our own Health and Safety, as well as that of our fellow employees, by paying attention to safe work practices, maintaining a safe work environment, and complying with applicable HSE requirements.
22. Take action to INTERVENE and STOP any unsafe activity or non-compliance with HSE requirements, if witnessed, and report the incident – regardless of your position or that of the transgressor.
Experience:
1. Skilled in an aspect of LNG tank engineering and tank international design codes.
2. Capable of reviewing equipment requisitions, datasheets and specifications.
3. Able to perform tank design and specification of all non-proprietary equipment (preferred).
4. In-depth knowledge of operating assets or similar facilities.
5. Experience in ASSESS and SELECT phase studies including preparation of Scope of Work, Statement of Requirement (SOR) and Design Basis documentation.
6. Strong analytical ability with attention to details and knowledge.
7. Awareness of operational integrity processes of Asset Integrity Management System (AIMS).
8. Awareness of process safety and hazardous area requirements/implications.
9. 12 years of experience in tank engineering in the LNG, Oil & Gas or Petrochemical industry including minimum 5 years in EPC organization.
10. Must have at least 2 years of experience in a similar position.
Qualifications:
1. Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering.
