ROLE: SERVICE LEADER
SALARY: £26600 PER ANNUM
LOCATION: LINCOLNSHIRE
HOURS: PERMANENT, FULL-TIME - 38 HOURS / WEEK
At Coben Healthcare we are proud supporters of this well-respected Nationwide Care Organisation that has over 25 years' experience providing care and support services for older people and people with Mental Health conditions and Learning Disabilities.
They are looking for an experienced Service Lead, managing a cluster of Supported Living Services in Bourne, Lincolnshire who will be able to make a positive difference to people's lives and enabling them to gain greater independence and improve their well-being. Reporting to the Locality Manager.
About You in this Role:
1. Lead Operational Performance of your cluster of services ensuring compliance requirements are met and any potential risks are identified and highlighted to management.
2. Responsible for ensuring the highest standard of care is maintained in accordance with company policies and procedures as well as CQC standards.
3. Ensure the quality and compliance of all activities and actions that relate to the support the individuals supported.
4. Empower & engage with your team to strive to do their best work and create a positive environment and culture.
5. Ensure the best interests of each person supported are at the centre of important decisions, working in partnership with them, their advocates and significant others.
6. Effectively manage staff costs in line with agreed budgets, including control of agency usage in line with commissioned hours.
7. Stakeholder management, including managing complaints, acting as the first point of contact for families, social workers and other professionals.
8. Management of the finances of each person being supported.
9. Ensure that each individual is able to express their needs & feelings, and that their favoured communication methods are logged and shared with all team members.
10. Ability to work flexibly, responding to the needs of the service, ensuring that the home has 24-hour staff cover, 365 days of the year.
Skills & Attributes Required:
1. Significant experience of supporting people with a learning disability or mental health issue.
2. Care Certificate, NVQ3 or Diploma in Health & Social Care - or willing to work towards it.
3. Working flexibly in accordance with needs of post.
4. Awareness and understanding of diversity issues and non-discriminatory practice.
5. Good communication, organisational, numeracy and report writing skills.
6. Patient and considerate nature, with good listening skills with a tactful approach.
