PROCUREMENT AND EVENT LOGISTICS COORDINATOR - WOKING - 30K - 32K DOE

This demanding but exciting role sits within the heart of the Event Team covering two key areas. Firstly, working closely with the creative team, the role will hold the responsibility for the purchasing and procurement of a wide variety of event-based items and equipment ranging from T-shirts, medals, event numbers, lanyards, and caps, as well as fundraising items such as pin badges, bracelets, and temporary tattoos.
What you'll be doing:
1. Supplier evaluation: Evaluate existing procurement policies and procedures and update as required.
2. Purchase negotiation: Expertise in negotiating contracts with vendors and suppliers to achieve favourable terms.
3. Managing procurement-related risk: Identifying and mitigating potential risks associated with procurement and event logistics.
4. Ensuring efficient and cost-effective acquisition of goods: Keep track of all goods and services ordered and received with a comprehensive inventory.
5. Sensitivity to the creative aspects: Work closely with the creative team.
6. Following tendering processes where necessary.
7. Monitoring stock levels.
8. Researching and sourcing goods: Ensuring their ethical value and following company ethos and values.
9. Adding value and expertise to the company's procurement process.
10. Developing a new stock control system.
11. Understanding budgeting and cost control principles.
12. Project management skills: Ability to plan, execute, and monitor event logistics projects from start to finish.
13. Sourcing all purchases and stock required by Events / Fundraising / Shop.
14. Keeping stock records within the warehouse.
15. Loss and damage reports post events.
16. Negotiating keen prices with contractors.
17. Manage the fulfilment process both with 3rd parties and in-house.
18. Arrange contracts where applicable.
