Croydon Health Service (CHS) Safeguarding Team (CHSIST) is an integrated team, including the Children Looked After (CLA) Team, Maternity Team, Children’s Team, and Adults Team. The CHSIST is made up of doctors, nurses, allied health professionals, midwives and admin colleagues.
The Safeguarding (SG) Adults Team work in partnership with the Integrated Care Board (ICB), Safeguarding Adult Board (SAB) and key members across the London Borough of Croydon, regionally across London and Nationally. The SG Adults Team provide care and support to adults at risk of abuse, neglect or self-neglect and provide expert training, advice and support to all CHS staff members within the Trust (Hospital and Community).
We take a ‘Think Family’ approach to safeguarding which means that we consider everyone (including babies not yet born and children looked after) in all we do. We think about family connections and how adult and children’s issues are inter-twined, including the transition from young person to young adult which we know can be so difficult for some of our young people.
The CHS trust is also a diversity, equality and inclusion provider and we support a diverse population.
Our Adult Safeguarding Team is looking to welcome another enthusiastic and motivated individual to join our innovative team, together the team will drive upon the Safeguarding Adults Agenda within Croydon Health Service NHS Trust.
