In this dynamic role, you will:
* Lead the Apprenticeship Academy and Future Workforce Teams, collaborating with colleagues across the Health Board to drive innovative future workforce initiatives including the apprenticeship academy, volunteering, work experience and school engagement.
* Leading a team of school engagement specialists to inspire and attract talent early on across the three counties. Working with internal and external stakeholders to raise awareness of the opportunities available in the Health Board from career opportunities to work experience.
* Collaborate with Strategic Workforce Planning to align our workforce needs with succession planning, ensuring we are prepared for the future.
* Design and operationalize Future Workforce functions, including managing apprenticeship programs, promoting the Health Board as an employer of choice, and fostering work experience and volunteering opportunities.

Main duties of the job
* Lead the Apprenticeship Academy and Future Workforce Teams and work with colleagues across the Health Board.
* Identify opportunity for continuous growth and development of Future Workforce activity, ensuring opportunities for our local population.
* Collaborate with colleagues from Strategic Workforce Planning to understand succession planning needs and ensure that Future Workforce opportunities meet the needs of our workforce.
* Be responsible for the design and operationalizing of the Future Workforce functions including leading on the operational elements of the Future Workforce workstreams including the identification, commissioning, recording and reporting of apprenticeship programmes, working with schools to offer opportunities to promote the Health Board as an employer of choice, and to work closely with stakeholders to promote work experience and volunteering opportunities across the Health Board.

Hywel Dda University Health Board is the planner and provider of NHS healthcare services for people in Carmarthenshire, Ceredigion, Pembrokeshire and its bordering counties. Our 12,000 members of staff provide primary, community, in-hospital, mental health and learning disabilities services to almost 400,000 people across a quarter of the landmass of Wales.
