We are seeking a Quality Assurance Manager to oversee the quality assurance department, develop, implement, and maintain quality systems for all Globe-Trotter products, including quality and endurance testing.

Duties and Responsibilities
1. Establish, document, and implement in-house manufacturing quality standards; develop processes and procedures to ensure these standards.
2. Define and agree on quality and colour standards for all raw materials; communicate, monitor, and enforce these standards with suppliers.
3. Work directly with suppliers to ensure all necessary quality processes for sampling and production are implemented and validated.
4. Ensure all presentation and packing of goods meet customer expectations while protecting goods in transit.
5. Develop and maintain product and material testing protocols for performance and regulatory compliance.
6. Conduct root cause analysis to develop corrective actions and resolve quality issues.
7. Lead and mentor the quality and engineering team, fostering a culture of continuous improvement.
8. Monitor and report monthly on key quality metrics; identify trends and areas for improvement, developing a remediation plan.
9. Guide the Production team to ensure compliance with company, third-party, and customer standards, achieving quality objectives and KPIs.
10. Lead initiatives to improve quality within the factory by identifying KPIs and implementing performance improvements.
11. Conduct external supplier audits, and create and review technical agreements and quality plans with suppliers.
People Management
1. Motivate employees to achieve targets for quantity and quality, providing support, guidance, and feedback.
2. Ensure direct reports take responsibility and accountability for their actions.
3. Maintain positive relationships with the management team.
4. Ensure proper induction and training for new team members.
5. Collaborate with HR on employee issues such as grievances, disciplinary actions, and performance management.
6. Ensure staff comply with health and safety legislation.
7. Assist HR in recruiting, interviewing, selecting, and hiring staff.
Requirements of the Role
1. Prior experience as a quality assurance manager.
2. Thorough knowledge of quality assurance methodologies and standards.
3. Excellent numeric skills, with understanding of data analytics and statistics.
4. Proficiency with MS Office products.
5. Results-driven with excellent attention to detail.
6. Ability to use root cause analysis tools for decision-making.
7. Ability to interact effectively at multiple levels within the business and with external contractors.
8. Experience in the fashion/textile industry is advantageous.
