Business Development Manager - Private Banking
We have an exciting opportunity to welcome a new Business Development Manager into our Private Banking team based in Auckland.
The Business Development Manager role will be primarily based at our North Wharf office and will have the following key areas of focus:
* Play a pivotal role in driving growth at ASB by proactively networking internally and externally to introduce new to bank relationships to Private Banking.
* Identifying and closing significant numbers of new to Bank business opportunities working closely with the Area Managers.
* Developing key strategies to assist Private Managers, through prospecting new targets, pipeline tracking and reporting.
* Build relationships at all levels in an organisation.
* Co-ordinating and developing strong strategic relationships, alliances and processes within Commercial and Corporate/CBA.
* Co-ordinating internal and external relationships to ensure the best and most compelling customer experience.
We are looking for a highly motivated team player with excellent communication and interpersonal skills, who thrives in a fast-paced environment with strong attention to detail.
To be successful in the role, you will have:
* A minimum of 5 years in a sales manager/business development role with a demonstrated ability to build and maintain strong, lasting client and referral relationships.
* Experience in the financial services industry would be an advantage.
* Experience in successfully managing the acquisition process, with a key focus on growth.
* The ability to formulate solutions based on a diverse product set and knowledge of Private Banking.
* Excellent presentation skills and communication skills, with strong attention to detail.
* A proactive approach with a proven track record of meeting targets and the ability to navigate working under pressure and managing complex overlapping demands.
