Job Title: PRODUCTION MANAGER - JOINERY
Job Description:
Our client is a leading design & manufacturing company specialising in Bespoke Joinery. Due to expansion, they have an excellent opportunity for an experienced and enthusiastic Production Manager. This is a Senior Management role and requires a proven track record in a manufacturing background, ideally from the timber or joinery sector, and familiarity with the latest innovative manufacturing techniques.
Reporting to: MANAGING DIRECTOR
As Production Manager, you will manage the day-to-day operations of the production facility, lead and motivate the production team, and oversee the entire manufacturing process while continually improving and developing it. You will primarily be responsible for planning and determining optimal utilisation of the manufacturing team and equipment to meet production goals and objectives.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES - PRODUCTION MANAGER
1. Be responsible for all manufacturing processes, driving a safety-first environment ensuring all processes and procedures are adhered to.
2. Identify and utilise methods for making production processes more efficient.
3. Analyse manufacturing data to identify trends, anomalies, and opportunities for improvements.
4. Ensure compliance with all relevant fire, environmental, and health and safety regulations.
5. Drive the business forward with the successful implementation of new innovative ideas.
6. Develop and implement production schedules to optimize efficiency and minimize waste.
7. Ensure that customer, quality, regulatory, and internal requirements are met or exceeded.
8. Foster a culture within the operation where individuals feel able to challenge the status quo and encourage feedback from all levels.
PRODUCTION MANAGER - Knowledge, Skills & Experience Required
1. Strong communication skills to actively listen to stakeholders and clearly verbalise ideas and action plans.
2. Strong analytical skills to determine problems within the production process and take appropriate action.
3. A proven track record of the implementation of policies and procedures to maximise output.
4. Excellent organisational skills to plan production schedules and ensure the availability of necessary materials, machinery, and equipment.
5. Good time management skills to minimise downtime.
6. Strong knowledge of Health and Safety.
7. Experience in a leadership role, ideally within the timber or related materials background.
8. Customer-focused with sound commercial skills.
9. Good IT skills & PC literate.
Location/Area: WEST MIDLANDS
