OPEN CALL: ABOUT TIME - the theme of the third (2025) Redcar Summer Exhibition aims to serve as a thought-provoking framework for artists in all disciplines to respond in their own unique way, reflecting on the temporal connections in our world.
We invite artists to explore the multifaceted concept of time—its urgency, its persistence, and its profound influence on our lives and planet.
From the pressing need to address environmental crises to the broader rhythms of Deep Time, Tidal Time, and Timeliness, this exhibition encourages innovative interpretations across all mediums, including painting, video, and even live transmission from other time zones.
To support participants, we will host a pre-submission workshop on 15th March, providing both professional development and inspiration to help artists engage with this expansive theme.
