My client is looking for a Buyer & Parts Administrator which will focus on managing vendor relationships and will involve working closely with internal and external stakeholders. It is a diverse role, covering technical and non-technical buying, and managing how purchased items flow through the business to the point of installation.
Responsibilities:
* Procuring parts and consumables for vehicles and the wider business
* Manging the procurement of parts that we have made to our own designs, principally in the UK, China and the USA.
* Sourcing and placement of orders for contract and non-contract items using manual requisitions and digital parts requisition systems
* Negotiation of lower pricing whenever possible
* Maintenance of Supplier details on the procurement system and review of supplier performance
Experience Required:
* Have a proven history in working as a buyer in a small to medium enterprise
* Knowledge of automotive parts
* Ability to read and understand engineering drawings and data
* Familiarity with business tools such as Asana, Jira, etc
* Familiarity of ‘Partsbox’ inventory control system
