About The Role We have opportunity at our Retirement Village for a Service Assistant for bank shifts. The main responsibility of the job is to ensure the highest standard of service to each Resident in a warm, caring atmosphere. Duties and Responsibilities: Setting and maintaining high standards of service provision to each individual Resident in line with Company Policy. To help in the Dining Room with laying-up of tables and serving of meals and washing up. To sell services to residents on site. To provide an on-call service to residents and monitor emergency call system. To pay attention to Residents needs and individual requirements. To help, support and organise events held on site for all Residents. To be able to quickly assess any emergency situation and call the relevant body for help in the event of an emergency arising. General cleaning of communal areas and rubbish collection. Regular night patrols (if working a night shift). To help with administrative duties delegated by Village Manager. All post offered are subject to two satisfactory references and a standard DBS disclosure. About You Being a Service Assistant, you will be passionate about delivering a first-class service and show patience, kindness and understanding towards our residents. Experience in elderly care is desirable but not essential. It is essential you have good communication skills and can work well within a team and individually. The role would suit someone who has the ability to prioritise tasks, has a flexible approach and is energetic and hard working.
