Project Architect/ Job Runner (UK Nationals Only)

We are seeking a talented, enthusiastic, design-led architect qualified at part 3 level with at least 5 years of experience to work on our expanding portfolio of projects, particularly in the defence/manufacturing space. The right candidate will play an active role in all aspects of these projects, from developing concept designs to planning applications and technical delivery information. We have developed an outstanding reputation amongst our clients and are often called upon to unlock complex and challenging sites.
Key Responsibilities
1. Lead projects at various design stages - concept, planning, and technical
2. Preparation and submission of planning applications
3. Producing technical drawings and tender packages
4. Design in both 2D and 3D
5. Presentations to clients
6. Liaising with other consultants and contractors
7. Site visits
8. Develop design concepts in collaboration with team members
9. Prepare Building Regulations applications in collaboration with Approved Inspectors
Skills, Knowledge and Expertise
1. Experienced Part III ARB qualified architect (min 5yrs post-part 3)
2. UK National - must be a UK passport holder (not dual nationality)
3. Excellent presentation and communication skills, both verbal and written
4. Experienced Revit user
5. Experience on different scale projects across all RIBA stages
6. Client-facing experience/ability to act in a client-facing role with support
7. Confident job runner/project leader - able to chair/run design team meetings, including minute taking and report writing, and drive co-ordination across multiple disciplines
8. Ability to contribute to and lead design packages
9. Ability to author reports and other written documents - good report writing skills
10. Projects involve initial assessment, feasibility, and technical design as well as overseeing works on site
11. Technical experience and a great eye for detail and construction execution
12. Good time management skills to work across multiple projects and deadlines effectively, often under time pressures
13. Willingness to develop new skills
14. Ability to complete tasks and produce deliverables independently
15. Interest in collaboration/interdisciplinary working
