Support Team Supervisor

Full-time, Band 3 £24,071 - £25,674 per annum (based on a standard working rota). All evening, night & weekends are paid at an enhanced rate & with the shift pattern for the role, you could earn between £30,957 - £31,441 per annum.
Hours: 37.5 per week (various hours/shifts), all MKUH roles will be considered for flexible working.

Shift pattern: 0700-1500, 0900-2200, 1500-2300, 2300-0700 (two out of the four weekends off.
• Hourly rates Monday to Friday: 0700-2000 £12.59 to £13.13
• Evenings/nights (Monday to Saturday: 2000-0600 £17.00 to £17.73
• Sundays and public holidays: £21.28 to £22.19
• Regular overtime can be worked increasing the rotated salary by 10%-20%.
The successful applicants will carry out a variety of cleaning tasks with full training provided.

You will be required to also work closely with the clinical service teams and our hospital visitors. Perform a wide range of duties connected to the provision of support services within the Trust and ensure a high standard of service delivery in relation to the support services functions.

• Primary duties will include the day to day management and supervision of a team of support (Portering) staff, monitoring response times and completion of jobs within the time frames stated in the Service Level Agreement.
• Liaising with the service users to ensure practices and procedures are maintained to meet demands of the service users and comply with legislation.
• Post holders will be required to work without supervision and use a high level of initiative in decision making.

• Organisation and forward planning of rosters, ensuring consistent staff levels across all shifts.
• Manageallocation of staff to areas of responsibility, by forward and daily planning of available staff. Complete worked hours tracking documentation to accurately reflect staff allocation.
• Supervision of support staff on a rota basis, 24 hours per day, 7 days per week.
• Support Security Car-park function as required.
• ManageWaste function to ensure legislation in relation to waste management is implemented and compliant with law. Liaise with Estates to ensure that waste is effectively removed and does not build up on site.
