About the ISA programme
THE INFRASTRUCTURE STRATEGIC ALLIANCE (ISA) is an integrated partnership between Sellafield Ltd, Morgan Sindall Infrastructure and Arup.
We support Sellafield Ltd throughout the entire project life cycle, delivering projects through four programmes: Electrical, Steam, Asset Care and Technology, with over 800 people employed through alliance partners and our wider supply chain.
Our MEICA Engineering function provides you with opportunities for both personal development and technical training to support your career in the construction engineering industry.
You will be encouraged and supported to join a professional engineering institution and be allocated a scheme mentor to help you in becoming professionally registered with the Engineering Council as a Chartered Engineer in line with The UK Standard for Professional Engineering Competence and Commitment (UK-SPEC).

What will the role involve:
To support the engineering and operational requirements of modern integrated infrastructure plant and services from design, procurement, manufacturing, testing, installation and commissioning to maintenance, replacement and decommissioning of nuclear plant and supporting infrastructure.
Reporting to the Project Manager and Sub-Project Managers for tasks and minor projects within ISA’s Security & Resilience portfolio. In your daily work, you will interact with and be a focal point for coordination of the many stakeholders in our engineering projects.
What qualifications are required:
Qualified to Level 6 or equivalent on the Regulated Qualifications Framework in a MEICA engineering discipline or similar and related technical discipline.
Ideally registered with and participating in an affiliated professional body, e.g., IET, IMechE, CIBSE, etc. for your discipline and/or function, working towards or having Chartered Engineer status.
Specific training in and/or qualification for your primary engineering discipline and ideally for wider discipline and functional understanding and appreciation required to manage a multi-disciplined team.
You will need the ability to:

2. Demonstrate considered analysis of all available data to arrive at viable options, organising information to identify the key issues and to plan appropriately.

8. Collect and collate information on the reality of the situation and options open to you, knowing how to create a position and build a winnable case whilst anticipating the needs and concerns of others.
9. Grow a team that is aligned with the business objectives, understanding strengths and weaknesses of team members and working with them to good effect whilst understanding their ambitions and managing expectations using a wide range of development tools.
10. Coach and mentor on the benefits of collaborative relationships.
