The Role
Working as part of the Information Technology Services team, you will deliver effective and high-quality support to a range of services. You will deliver administration activity and handle internal customer contact through email, face-to-face, and telephone, actively seeking opportunities to develop skills, capabilities, and knowledge. The support provided will put the customer at the heart of everything we do and inform business decisions.
Our apprenticeship programme will give you a practical introduction to a wide range of activities across the Information Technology service. Working effectively as part of the team, you will deliver a quality service to agreed targets, in line with policies and procedures. Our apprenticeship is a 20-month fixed-term contract where you will gain an Information Communications Technician (Level 3) qualification.
Key Responsibilities
* Provide support to key activities relating to all aspects of the Information Technology Services team.
* Respond to routine customer enquiries, by phone, email, or face-to-face, in a timely manner, to deliver high-quality customer service.
* Undertake administrative duties, including organising meetings, events, taking minutes, and accurate data inputting and processing to meet customer and service needs.
* Responsible for tracking and logging progress updates to ensure agreed milestones for pieces of work are met.
* Identify opportunities for new ways of working to deliver continuous improvement.
* Specific individual and shared targets and objectives are defined annually within the performance management framework.
The Experience You Will Bring
* Achieved, or predicted to achieve, RQF level 2 (GCSEs or equivalent) including Grade 4 in Maths and English.
* Commitment to study for an Information Communications Technician (Level 3) qualification.
* Ability to develop skills and experience within the workplace.
* Effectively communicate with a range of stakeholders across the service, both internal and external.
* IT literate and willing to train on in-house systems.
* Ability to appropriately handle confidential and sensitive information.
* Ability to deliver effective administrative duties across a range of services.
* Ability to multi-task and manage competing priorities.
* Excellent attention to detail.
* Experience of working effectively as part of a team.
* Experience of effective communication with a range of individuals.
