£24,600 - £26,038 per annum
The Conference Office at the University of Winchester is looking for an enthusiastic and organised individual to join our dynamic Conference and Events team. This is an exciting opportunity to gain hands-on experience in a fast-paced, operational events environment, making it an ideal stepping stone for those looking to build a career in the events industry. The role offers the chance to work across a diverse range of commercial and internal events, helping to maintain and grow the University’s strong reputation for delivering high-quality functions and conferences.
As a Conference Operations and Administration Officer, you will be responsible for managing event enquiries, securing bookings, and coordinating all aspects of event planning, from contracts to logistics. The role is highly operational, requiring a hands-on approach to delivering events, particularly during the busy summer conference season. You will work closely with clients and internal teams to ensure seamless execution, balancing administrative precision with on-the-ground problem-solving.
We are looking for a proactive and adaptable individual with strong organisational and communication skills. The ability to work independently, manage multiple events simultaneously, and react quickly to last-minute changes is essential. Flexibility is key, as evening and weekend work will be required to support event operations.
