Job Description Estates Engineer Full Time Thurso An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Estates Engineer to join the team in Rolls-Royce Submarines in Thurso. Thurso is is situated in the historical county of Caithness and is the northernmost town in the UK where we have successfully operated and managed the Vulcan Naval Reactor Test Establishment for the last 50 years on behalf of the Ministry of Defence. The Estates Engineer will manage and take responsibility for, the completion of tasks in accordance with site processes and procedures such as Works Control Process, HS&E Control Standard requirements, Vulcan Standing Orders, Engineering Standing Instructions, Health Physics Procedures We’re a leader in propulsion system design and development for the Royal Navy’s nuclear submarine fleet and the sole provider and technical authority. What you will be doing Implement, programme and supervise maintenance, modification, commissioning and defect/repair work in the Estates Management area. The placing of orders on Vendors for all works associated with Estate Management. Take technical responsibility to deliver all worklist items to cost, time, budget quality and safety. Provide technical information/data for inclusion in programme production. Oversee Estates or subcontract staff working within the Estates Management team.
