We currently have an exciting opportunity for a candidate to join bpha’s In House Maintenance Service, who make a difference to our customer’s lives everyday by delivering a high-quality repairs service designed around them.
We operate across Bedfordshire, Oxfordshire, Buckinghamshire, Cambridgeshire, Northamptonshire and surrounding areas, and we utilise the latest technology to ensure that we not only deliver a great experience for our customers, but for our colleagues as well.
We are looking for a Groundworker (multi-trade) operative to join our In House Maintenance Service Team, and to be responsible for the delivery and completion of repairs within and around our customers’ homes.
As a Ground working multi discipline trade operative, you will have trade skills to cover multiple repair tasks to a high standard and quality.
The tasks undertaken by this role will vary from day to day, and will include all aspects of groundworks such as:
1. Drainage installation (ACO/French/soakaways)
2. Concreting
3. Bricklaying
4. Pointing
5. Paving
6. Slabbing
7. Gullies
8. Manholes
9. Tarmacking
10. Fencing
You will be accountable for:
1. Delivering a service which understands the needs of our customers and delivers a positive outcome for them.
2. Being professional, courteous, empathetic, adaptable, self-motivated, taking pride and ownership of your work, able to resolve problems you encounter, deliver a high-quality repair, and provide an excellent customer experience every time.
3. Adhering to all policies, procedures, processes, controls, systems, required training and record keeping.
4. Ensuring that we operate in a safe, customer-centric, environmentally ethical, and accountable way.
5. Meeting and/or exceeding our performance targets, understanding, and mitigating risk.
6. Attending all required training, toolbox talks, one to ones and appraisals, embracing the opportunity for challenge, personal growth, and development.
7. Engaging with other team members as required.
8. Ensuring that all company owned property is properly maintained, cared for, respected, and always remains fit for purpose.
9. Maximising your first-time fix rate and daily productivity level, delivering a high standard of workmanship, quality, and customer experience. You will ensure that van stocks are maintained, and source other materials required in a timely fashion to meet the service needs and performance targets.
10. Liaising and communicating with managers, supervisors, schedulers, other colleagues, and customers whilst undertaking your duties to ensure we deliver on our promises and provide our customers with a first-class repairs service.
We’d love to meet someone with:
1. A strong, demonstrable commitment to excellence in customer service and partnership working with colleagues across the organisation
2. Good general all round trade and construction knowledge & experience
3. Good and relevant health and safety knowledge and qualifications
4. NVQ Level 2/3 in a trade as a minimum
5. Held a similar position within property maintenance or similar service
6. Full UK Driving Licence
