We are looking for a meticulous and dedicated Disrepair Surveyor to join a well known housing association.\n\nClient Details\n\nOur client is a well-established not-for-profit organisation. Based in Burnley, they are known for their commitment to providing high-quality, affordable housing solutions to residents. They boast a large-scale operation with a significant housing portfolio.\n\nDescription\n\nConduct Property Inspections - Assess residential properties for disrepair, identifying defects, safety hazards, and areas of non-compliance.\nLegal Disrepair Case Management - Investigate claims, gather evidence, and provide detailed reports for use in legal proceedings.\nDamp & Mould Assessments - Diagnose damp, condensation, and mould issues using appropriate testing methods and recommend remediation strategies.\nPrepare Detailed Reports - Produce comprehensive reports outlining findings, proposed remedial works, and compliance with housing regulations.\nSchedule & Oversee Repairs - Specify required works, liaise with contractors, and ensure repairs are completed to the required standard.\nTenant & Stakeholder Liaison - Communicate with tenants, landlords, legal representatives, and housing officers to resolve disrepair issues.\nEnsure Compliance - Ensure all inspections and repair works align with relevant legislation, including the Landlord & Tenant Act 1985, Homes (Fitness for Human Habitation) Act 2018, and CDM Regulations.\nJoint Surveys with Opposing Surveyors - Attend joint inspections with claimant surveyors and assist in preparing Scott Schedules.\nMonitor & Audit Repairs - Conduct post-inspections to ensure remedial works have been carried out effectively and meet required standards.\nSupport Legal Proceedings - Provide expert input for legal cases, including producing witness statements and attending court if required.\nMaintain Accurate Records - Keep detailed records of all inspections, correspondence, and actions taken for audit and legal purposes.Profile\n\nA successful Stock Condition Surveyor should have:\n\nA degree in Building Surveying or a similar field.\nIn-depth knowledge of building construction, building standards, and health and safety regulations.\nExcellent attention to detail and reporting skills.\nStrong interpersonal skills for liaising with team members and external parties.\nThe ability to prioritise tasks effectively.\nA commitment to contributing positively to the not-for-profit sector.Job Offer\n\nA competitive salary of circa £45k.\nClaim milage from home!\nOption of a 4 day working week\nAn opportunity to contribute to a noble cause in the not-for-profit sector.\nA collaborative work culture with a supportive team.\nComprehensive benefits package in line with the industry standards.\nThe chance to be based in the scenic location of Burnley
