Based in Eastleigh, Hampshire
Salary £55,000 per annum, depending on experience and qualifications
40 hours per week, Monday to Friday, with additional weekend and 'on call' responsibilities on the roster

About the role
It's exciting times at Beaufort Education & Care and due to expansion, we have a fantastic opportunity for a Registered Manager in Eastleigh, Hampshire to join our team.
Reporting to the Operations Manager, the main responsibilities of the OFSTED Registered Manager include:
You will manage a newly commissioned Residential Children's Home, ensuring the efficient operation of the service in accordance with the relevant legislation, procedures, policies and the Statement of Purpose for the home
To ensure the highest standards of safeguarding and welfare of children, creating an environment where individuals are heard, respected and valued
Support continual assessment of the needs of the children to identify and prepare specific development plans to ensure the most appropriate service provision
Recruitment of new team members in line with Safer Recruitment protocols
Lead on team and HR matters in accordance to policy and employment law
Deliver comprehensive training and development programmes to enable your team to have all the necessary skills and levels of expertise to meet the needs of the children
Develop appropriate relationships with and between staff, children, external agencies and other stakeholders
Actively co-ordinate the service provision, becoming the focal point for support, advice and coaching to the team within the Home
Promote therapeutic relationships between staff, children and their families, and the children's involvement and participation in the day-to-day life of the Home
To work in collaboration with other Managers as part of the Management Team and work effectively in partnership with referrals, Placing Authorities and the Local Authority
About you
Our new Registered Manager will have at least two years proven managerial experience in a position relevant to the residential care of children and children's homes; knowledge in this sector is a must!
You will demonstrate experience in the supervision and management of a team of childcare practitioners
You will be an exceptional role-model to your team, demonstrating a professional approach, positive behaviours and attitude
The successful applicant must hold a minimum Level 4 in Children, Young People & Families Practitioner (or equivalent qualification)
Preferably be working towards or hold Level 5 in Leadership and Management
Must hold a full UK driving licence with access to a vehicle
The successful candidate will be registered with OFSTED
