Supplier Quality Assurance Engineer required for a well-established manufacturer who are a brand associated with quality. This is a brand new role due to ongoing success and growth in their industry.
The role would suit applicants who have experience working in the castings, utilities, or drainage industry. You must have experience of providing technical support and troubleshooting issues with products or services. Applicants must have a proven track record in a customer-facing role and will be occasionally required to travel to customer sites.
This is a varied role for the successful candidate. The company imports a range of manhole covers and castings from overseas for a variety of customers from housebuilders to national highways. You will be responsible for quality checking goods inwards when containers arrive, conducting visual checks, measurements, and testing of products to ensure they are fit for purpose. You will provide technical support in the field for customers when issues arise and coordinate improvement activities to ensure that a solution is provided and there are no ongoing defects with suppliers. In terms of administration, you will be required to liaise with quality standard agencies independently, such as Kitemark and BSI, and coordinate all returns process paperwork with suppliers.

Key Responsibilities:
1. Auditing of supplier deliveries
2. End-to-end Quality Assurance process
3. Ensuring KM certification for all products
4. Site support for end users/customers
5. Supplier interaction to communicate defects and coordinate returns process
6. Occasional travel required
Minimum Requirements:
1. Will ideally transfer from a utilities, casting, or drainage background
2. Must have quality assurance/supplier quality assurance experience
3. Strong customer interaction skills
