To support our indirect engineering strategy – to ‘grow our own people’ through quality mentoring and coaching in-house. To back-fill our incumbent apprentices who are passing through their external training and internal mentoring programmes. To future-proof technical requirements moving forward with an emphasis upon automation and robotics production support. To become ‘subject matter experts’ with the potential capability to repair, maintain and most importantly optimise our increasingly technical manufacturing methodologies.
Responsibilities:
* Shadow established engineers through one to one mentoring and coaching activities.
* Be assigned projects, from concept through development, installation, commissioning and ultimate production hand-over.
* Become ‘subject matter experts’ and gain extensive experience of current and new automation technologies.
* Support Leviat’s commitment to labour reduction, cost reduction and continuous improvement.
* Significantly reduce dependence upon external support companies, bringing expertise and dependence in-house.
* Support improved ‘customer satisfaction’ through improved flexibility and reduced reaction times.
* Be ready to pass on knowledge to others, including the next cohort of future apprentices.
