Drilling Engineer
Job Description:
We are seeking a Drilling Engineer to provide operational and technical support to our Drilling Supervisors and team.
The ideal candidate will deliver cost-effective well intervention and completion designs, cost estimates, and programmes covering various aspects of well operations.
This is a full-time position based in Norwich, with working hours from Monday to Friday.
Key Responsibilities:
* Review work programs and lookahead with the site supervisor's assistance.
* Liaise with site planners for services and asset planning.
* Monitor drilling parameters, fluid properties, and perform real-time torque and drag analysis.
* Assist the site supervisor and provide input to operational programs.
* Provide expertise at the wellsite for wells software.
* Support HSE performance and compliance with HSE standards.
* Assist in logistics planning, daily reporting, and compiling end-of-well reports.
* Develop a comprehensive understanding of all facets of the process and record lessons learned.
Requirements:
* An engineering degree or equivalent qualification.
* 1-2 years of Drilling Engineering experience.
* Operational Drilling experience.
* Excellent communication skills both internally and externally.
* Confidence, self-motivation, strong technical competence, and leadership skills.
