The role
suits an experienced Senior Tax Manager who is capable of taking direction but also comfortable with leading themselves and others to implement and manage projects and processes.
Working within the Internal PwC Tax function provides a unique opportunity for involvement in the day to day tax matters of a large UK and International professional services organisation and the largest professional LLP in the UK.
What your days will look like:
1. Working with Senior Managers in the Overseas tax team on tax advisory matters; and providing advice to the business on overseas client (and internal) contracts involving overseas travel and virtual working. This work includes close liaison with the Cross Border Engagement Services (CBES) (working and advising cross border) team.
2. Managing key areas of the firm’s tax reporting including transfer pricing reporting (Master File and Local Files); and Pillar 2 and Country by Country Reporting.
3. Managing the preparation of tax cost estimates (overseas and UK tax compliance costs as well as forecast irrecoverable tax costs) for client teams at the outset of a cross border engagement, feeding into the CBES processes as appropriate.
4. Advising on and implementing the setup of overseas tax/Permanent Establishment structures and linking in with other internal teams as appropriate.
5. Supporting the Head of Firm’s Taxes on a wide range of other UK and international tax matters (including being the main lead), in relation to; managing the firm’s overseas tax footprint; acquisitions and disposals and management of intellectual property.
6. Liaising with Finance teams, project teams, overseas network firms and overseas advisors.
7. Being an active team member and contributing to the team’s development activities to help identify and research opportunities to improve our operational effectiveness and quality of our work.
This role is for you if:
8. You demonstrate expertise in managing tax reporting, including transfer pricing reporting and Country by Country Reporting.
9. You have a strong understanding of both UK and international tax regulations.
10. Demonstrate proficiency in providing tax advice to various level stakeholders
11. Qualified accountant or hold a recognised Tax qualification
Qualification needed:
12. Must possess an Accountancy Qualification (ACA, ACCA, CIMA, CIA, CISA or equivalent) or hold a Tax Qualification (CTA) (or an international equivalent).
