Hays Education are currently looking to recruit a Year One teacher to work in a primary school in the Crawley area. The school is looking for a teacher to work for five days a week in their Year One class until the end of the academic year. This primary school received Good in their last Ofsted inspection. The curriculum is based upon skills within a topic, linking multiple areas of the curriculum towards the chosen topic, for example India. The school uses ‘letters and sounds’ for their planning and assessments. Hays Education appreciate that many teachers in the area are wanting to work within the classroom however also have family or othermitments to balance with their workload. We understand that teaching is like no other career; it is a joy to be in the classroom educating the next generation and we are keen to make this possible alongside your other weeklymitments.
What you'll need to succeed
In order to be considered for this position you will need to have qualified teacher status or be looking toplete your induction year. You will also need to have recent experience within a classroom setting in the last five years and be up to date with recent curriculum changes. You will need to be a creative and positive teacher who is able to embrace new surroundings and situations, whilst demonstrating a professional manor at all times. You will have strong classroom management skills with the ability to adapt to unfamiliar plans and timetables. It is imperative that you have goodmunication skills as this is crucial when speaking to TAs and other people in the school.
