The Role
We are looking for a Social Work Manager to help us on our improvement journey. Leading our Children and Young People in Care teams, you will be working collaboratively with team managers to continue implementation of Signs of Safety as our practice model. Teams are typically made of one senior practitioner and 5 social workers to focus on progressing children’s care plans to achieve permanency and support looked after children to reach their potential.
We are making huge progress against our plans for improvement and are looking for a passionate and committed Social Work Manager for one of our Children in Care teams who value the opportunity to work directly with children and families. We have a strong coproduction ethos in the service helping children feel a sense of belonging, security and supporting them to thrive and achieve.
You will be fully qualified (DipSW, CQSW, CSS or equivalent), with significant post qualification social work experience and a recognised social work qualification, plus evidence of CPD and HCPC registration. Your proven record of effective service delivery will include managing staff and budgets, while implementing service and quality improvement methods successfully in pursuit of challenging performance expectations.
