Job Title: Nights Hygiene Supervisor Location: Leicestershire Shift: 18:00 – 06:00 Salary: £37.400 Job Description: We are recruiting for a Nights Hygiene Supervisor to oversee hygiene operations in a busy bakery production environment. The role ensures that all cleaning activities meet the required food safety and hygiene standards while maintaining a safe and efficient working environment. This position involves a mix of manual and supervisory tasks, working closely with a dynamic team to meet operational goals. Key Responsibilities: Ensure the hygiene team adheres to cleaning schedules and processes in line with food safety standards. Oversee compliance with COSHH regulations and safe use of all equipment and PPE. Drive continuous improvement in hygiene practices to meet business KPIs. Develop and train team members, identifying and addressing skill gaps. Collaborate with labour agencies and provide feedback on performance. Take an active role in audits and high-profile visits. Deputize for the Shift Operations Manager when required. Promote and maintain a strong Health & Safety culture. Key Deliverables: Food Hygiene: Consistent compliance with food safety and hygiene standards. Team Leadership: A well-trained and motivated hygiene team. Audit Success: Positive outcomes during audits and site visits. Required Knowledge, Skills, and Experience: Essential: Strong communication skills and a collaborative approach. Experience in a food manufacturing environment (ideally within bakery production). Good understanding of Food Safety, Health & Safety, and COSHH regulations. Proven experience leading and supporting a team. Flexible and adaptable approach to working hours. Desirable: Previous experience in a similar supervisory role. Familiarity with working in a fast-paced manufacturing environment. Passion for learning and developing within the role.
