* Support the Deputy Clinical Director of Pharmacy in setting the strategic direction for the Clinical Pharmacy Service
· Contribute to the development of the annual business plan and strategic planning for the Pharmacy Directorate · Implement Trust policies in relation to the Clinical Pharmacy Service · Continually review the quality and standard of service provision through consultation with users of the Clinical Pharmacy Service and makes recommendations for improvement to the Deputy Clinical Director of Pharmacy · Contribute to the development and maintenance of policies, procedures and records for the Clinical Pharmacy Service and medicines management · Assists Directorates and specialties in controlling drug expenditure · Ensure the appropriate stock control and storage of materials and safe maintenance of equipment used in the provision of the Clinical Pharmacy services · Complies with Trust policies relating to security and patient confidentiality and to ensure that procedures are undertaken within safe systems of work and legislation

We are looking for a dynamic, self-motivated individual to join our clinical pharmacy team as our Advanced Pharmacist - Integrated Flow Hub/Safari You will be the key pharmacy contact for our Integrated Flow Hub (Medical SDEC/Frailty SDEC and discharge lounge) as well as providing a clinical pharmacy service across our Emergency Departments.
You will also be the lead for our Safari Discharge team and develop the service in its new home of the Integrated Flow Hub. Ideally having experience of working within the Emergency Department, you will provide a clinical pharmacy service to the Emergency Department and working alongside the lead pharmacist for Emergency medicine develop the clinical pharmacy service to ED In addition to excellent communication and leadership skills, you will have previous experience of working within a clinical environment. You will need to be comfortable collaborating with clinicians, managers, nurses and others to ensure that pharmaceutical care of acutely unwell patients with a range of clinical conditions is safe and optimised. You will have the opportunity to provide pharmaceutical care to a wide range of patients and/or patient populations based on the evidence-base and/or best practice. Line management experience would be beneficial. You will be registered as a pharmacist with the General Pharmaceutical Council and have successfully completed a Postgraduate Diploma in Clinical Pharmacy Practice or be able to demonstrate equivalent and transferrable experience. You will also be a registered non-medical prescriber. Training and support will be given and a commitment to continuing professional development is essential. The role will include on-call duties and participation in weekend working. Applicants should have knowledge of therapeutics and medicine use and experience of audit, risk management and the ability to communicate effectively with a wide range of staff. This role is critical to providing a high quality clinical service to patients.
