We are looking for a ESG Analyst to join our successful ESG team. This role is home-based with some occasional travel to the offices.
Role and Responsibilities:
You will lead and manage projects supporting clients in the development of their ESG reporting and strategy. This includes calculating Scope 1, 2 and 3 greenhouse gas emissions, setting net-zero targets, developing decarbonisation action plans and writing a variety of mandatory and voluntary ESG disclosures. This will involve leading client calls, creating effective client strategies and supporting the development of client solutions to evolve ESG services and ensure they remain market leading.
You will also be responsible for managing a workload of 12+ projects. This will include line managing staff to ensure good communication and client relationships, ensuring the smooth running of projects and high-quality deliverables. Collaborate across teams to integrate sustainability into various aspects of the client’s deliverables.
The successful candidate's responsibilities will include but not be limited to:
* Project manage data analysis and report production for the delivery of strategic ESG and reporting services, with a focus on:
TCFD, CFD, Climate Scenarios, CDP and other ESG Disclosures and Assessments
Net-Zero Strategy development and Science Based Targets
* Lead on the collation and analysis of technical and financial data on environmental, social and governance solutions to provide practical and commercial information to customers
* Conduct research and analysis to develop our evidence base in climate scenarios, carbon & net zero and input into external communications
* Lead internal and customer meetings/video conferences as required, managing the communication of progress updates internally and with customers
* Read and comply with the company Health & Safety Policy; taking reasonable care for the Health & Safety of themselves and others; co-operate with managers and other employees in fulfilling our objectives and statutory duties.
Experience and Qualifications:
Essential:
* Degree in STEM / Humanities discipline or equivalent professional experience demonstrating working knowledge of ESG, climate change mitigation and Net-Zero strategies and the global and national policy drivers
* Ability to process complex technical data and concepts into client-ready information
* Advanced user of the Microsoft Office Suite
* Strong report writing capabilities and client presentation experience
* Ability to work across multiple projects
* 2+ years of experience in consultancy or analytical roles, focusing on ESG, carbon or broader environmental management
* Experience with at least two of:
Carbon footprint calculations including Scope 1 + 2 and SECR reporting
Scope 3 Inventories
Net-zero strategies
SBTi targets
TCFD/CFD Report preparation
Other Reporting & compliance schemes such as GRI, CDP, CSRD
* Taking pride in your work and providing a quality product

* Ability to work on their own initiative and as part of a team
* Ability to organise workload to meet tight deadlines and prioritise activities
* Good people and project management skills, including ability to give constructive feedback

The successful candidates must be willing to travel occasionally with potential for overnight stays.
