Job summary The Trust Corporate Governance Officer will have proven a track record of servicing the Board and Board level Committees. The post-holder will be part of an experienced and professional Team and will be required to work autonomously being responsible and accountable for respective corporate governance forums as the Secretary. This will include providing a comprehensive, end to end Secretariat for appointed groups, adhering to and delivering the Trust's Board and Committees Secretariat Standard Operating Procedure and associated processes. Reporting to the Corporate Governance Manager, working closely the Assistant Director of Corporate Governance and Risk, the role will require the post-holder to provide high level support to their appointed forums, ensuring the effective management of those groups, and working closely with the respective Chairs to ensure effective delivery of the Trust's corporate governance function. Main duties of the job The post holder will provide comprehensive, efficient, organised, and confidential administrative support to the committee services function. This will involve exercising judgement to make robust decisions using initiative, experience, and appropriate levels of authority. The main duties of this role are to: Provide high level secretariat support for Board and Committees and other forums including membership support. Provide high level support for projects and undertaking specific administrative tasks as directed by the Corporate Governance Manager. Planning, organisation, and co-ordination of various senior Committee and Board meetings ensuring the production and distribution of high-quality agendas, papers, minutes and action logs as well as ensuring all accommodation, catering and equipment needs are met (where applicable). Liaising with internal and external colleagues at all levels to ensure meetings runs smoothly and the Chair is kept informed/fully briefed. Preparation of papers submitted to these forums adhering to strict deadlines, ensuring quality and accuracy of content is consistently maintained.
