They are seeking a motivated and enthusiastic CDM Manager to join their dynamic team. This role provides direct support to the Health, Safety and Environment Lead and is responsible for assuring CDM compliance across the West of Leeds footprint. The main purpose of the role will be to ensure compliance with the Construction (Design and Management) Regulations 2015 from design, construction through to handover. The role will monitor all duty holders and disciplines to ensure optimum legal compliance levels are achieved. Other key focus areas for this role are to ensure that the key Health and Safety deliverables are consistently integrated into the project teams throughout design, delivery and through the hand-back.
Responsibilities
Project Teams - Integrate strategic S&SD goals and objectives into the wider Alliance project structure.
Principal Designer – Interface through audit and assurance.
PMO – Interface with the PMO and Client CDM assurance team.
CDM Duty Holders – Provision of advice, guidance and assurance.
Principal Contractor Managers – Audit assurance and continual improvement.
Provide functional support to the project Health and Safety leads and APT.
Point of contact for CDM Management and Assurance.
Principal Health and Safety Manager – Work closely with the Alliance Principal Health and Safety Manager to ensure that the high-level principles for Health, Safety and Wellbeing are embedded through the Alliance disciplines.
Key project delivery leads right through to the operational workforce.
Essential
Member of a relevant professional HSE bodies with chartered status or working towards.
Relevant experience in a CDM Management role (at least 5 Years).
Evidential background experience of CDM management of major multi-disciplinary projects.
Extensive experience in the construction and rail industries.
Comprehensive knowledge of Health, Safety and Environment legislation.
Detailed knowledge of NWR and industry standards.
Intricate knowledge of the principles of CDM management and how it applies across all duty holders.
Detailed knowledge of safe by design process.
Excellent communication and influencing skills.
Desirable
Knowledge of/experience in the UK railway industry.
Knowledge of/experience of Alliancing and working in collaborative environments.

Pay: £65,000 to £75,000 per year
