A fantastic position for a mid to senior level commercial lawyer to undertake work for a range of clients in the advertising and creative industries. You are likely to have at least 3 years post qualification experience with a proven track record in handling technically challenging commercial work. Flexibility of thought and the ability and desire to tackle novel problems are essential. This is not a role for someone who likes to work purely from template documents.
The work will include drafting and negotiating service agreements (including global framework master services arrangements), media – buying agreements, procurement agreements, IP licences and other general commercial agreements for a wide variety of advertising agencies. It will also involve the drafting and negotiating contracts for clients in the media and entertainment sectors.
You will need to have a strong academic background with a good understanding of IP rights, including in particular copyright and trademarks, and data protection law. You will need to have trained at a leading law firm and if currently in house will have trained and spent a number of years in private practice before going in house. You will also need to demonstrate a commitment to high levels of client service, an ability to turn documents and advise quickly and efficiently, and the flexibility to deliver work product to tight deadlines. Both an eye for detail and a pragmatic approach to problem solving is essential.
The firm offers a fantastic working culture, with a strong emphasis on quality whilst retaining an informal and relaxed working environment. They are open to considering more experienced candidates, with City law firm background and training who wish to work on a four day or even possibly a three day a week basis.
