Role: Regional Housekeeping Supervisor Hours: Monday to Friday, 5pm-9pm OR 6pm-10pm. 20 Hour Contract Salary: Up to £14 Per Hour Location: South West London and Surrey Reports to: Head of Facilities Required: Full Clean Driving License Company Vehicle Provided Purpose of Role Responsibility for the quality and responsiveness of the Nursery chains static cleaning team assigned to their respective nurseries and Head offices at Epsom. A working supervisor who can step in and undertake cleaning duties as well as manage and audit a regional team and weekend deep cleaning team. Driving standards and performance with attention to detail. Delivering a full range of exceptional housekeeping grounds services, ensuring the service is continuously improved, and the specification is met and exceeded. Main duties and responsibilities To attend 2 sites per evening, 10 across the working week To carry out daily visual audit checks of all areas and ensure expectations are met. To monitor cleaning performance, record findings and undertake corrective action, feed back to the head of FM every Friday by way of check list being completed. Ensure departmental discipline is always maintained and staff adhere to departmental policies and procedures e.g., time keeping, dress code, sickness absence reporting, cleanliness and attitude. Work closely with recruitment and onboarding to advertise vacancies, interview and ensure new staff are correctly inducted and trained. Absence Management and staff allocation General administration and documentation relating to the department’s functions. Undertake training as necessary in line with the development of the post and as agreed with line manager as part of the personal development planning process. Contribute positively to the effectiveness and efficiency of the teams in which he/she works. Undertake any other duties at the request of the line manager, which are commensurate with the role. Service Management To be conversant with the running of the whole domestic operation in all the nurseries to be able to cover for colleagues during periods of absence Ensure that all resources needed by cleaning staff for the discharge of their duties are available. Lead on the ordering process for HK materials and consumables. Receiving, reviewing and approving orders bi-weekly Ensure Cleaning staff adhere to Health and Safety policies and procedures e.g. COSHH regulations, waste management, working at height etc Ensure that staff undertake mandatory training packages Advise on stock rotation, orders and effective management of Chemicals. To identify and report in a timely manner items requiring repair (equipment or damage to building fabric), to log maintenance requisitions and follow up these reports as necessary. Communications The post holder will be required to communicate verbally and face-to-face with members of staff, nursery managers and their team.
