Job Opportunity: Special Educational Needs (SEN) Teaching Assistant Dunbar Education is looking for an experienced and dedicated Special Educational Needs (SEN) Teaching Assistant to join a vibrant mainstream primary school in Dudley. This role is ideal for someone with a background in supporting children with Social, Emotional, and Mental Health (SEMH) needs, ADHD, and Autism. Key Responsibilities: Provide one-on-one and group support for students with SEMH, ADHD, and Autism in a mainstream classroom. Work closely with classroom teachers and the SENCO to implement personalized learning plans. Employ various strategies to support pupils’ learning, emotional well-being, and behaviour management. Create an inclusive and nurturing learning environment. Monitor and track student progress, offering regular feedback to teachers and parents. Requirements: Experience working with children with SEMH, ADHD, and Autism. A patient, empathetic, and positive approach to working with students. Ability to adapt to the individual needs of each pupil. Strong communication and teamwork skills. A commitment to fostering inclusion and educational success for all children. Desirable Qualifications: A relevant qualification in education, childcare, or SEN support (e.g., CACHE Level 2/3 or equivalent). Experience in a primary school environment.
