Marketing Co-ordinator - Active Essex Permanent, Full Time £25,081 to £26,679 Per Annum Location: Chelmsford Closing Date: Wednesday 2nd April at 11.59pm This role will be filled on a hybrid basis. This means you can work remotely part of the working week with an expectation to attend the office in Chelmsford at least 2 days per week, as well as events around the county on occasion. The Opportunity As a function with Public Health, Active Essex is driven by the "Fit for the Future - The Physical Activity and Sport strategy for Essex, Southend and Thurrock 2021-31." This outlines the vision for an active Essex to improve everyone's health and wellbeing, working together across systems to make physical activity a part of everyday life for everyone. This role will support the Marketing team to organise and deliver creative and impactful marketing for the Active Essex team, to grow brand profile and inspire residents across the county to be physically active. The role will consist of working across multiple campaigns and events, helping to manage social media accounts, writing blogs and press releases and showcasing the team's impact across Essex communities. The successful candidate will have some experience in marketing and have knowledge of the full marketing mix, good copy-writing skills and be able to demonstrate experience of using creative and innovative delivery methods effectively. This candidate requires a qualification in marketing, communications, or equivalent in experience. The Experience You Will Bring Essential: Educated to RQF level 6 (Bachelor's degree) in relevant field e.g., marketing, Communications, social media, English or equivalent by experience. Previous experience of working in marketing roles, inclusive of social media, press, digital and campaigns. Capable in designing marketing material to strengthen and promote the Active Essex and Active Essex Foundation brand. Strong written and verbal communication and presentation skills. Desirable: Ability to work on own initiative and take responsibility for decisions relating to own work. Delivery orientated and ability to prioritise workload and meet tight deadlines. You are excited to work as part of a small but growing team, be self-motivated and proactive, ready to roll up your sleeves, learn quickly and venture out of your comfort zone. Demonstrate competence in the MS Office suite of programmes and Canva. Please note that the job role requires you to be mobile throughout an operational area.
