Job title: Accounts Payable Technician
Location: Central London (1 day WFH)
Salary: £35,000 per annum + benefits
Our client, a leading pension insurer, is looking for an Accounts Payable Technician to join their team, based in stunning offices in Central London, with one day from home. The Accounts Payable Technician will be part of the team who are responsible for the processing and payment of invoices and employee expenses and will report to the Head of Accounts Payable.
You may already have some experience within finance and accounts, or you may be looking to begin your career within finance. They are happy to sponsor qualifications, so this is a great opportunity for someone who is eager to build a long-term career in finance.

Responsibilities:
1. Process invoices, expense claims, and requisitions; convert to purchase orders.
2. Set up and manage supplier and employee accounts, including bank details.
3. Reconcile supplier statements, credit cards, and petty cash.
4. Maintain and respond to the AP team mailbox, addressing payment queries.
5. Ensure timely authorization and payment of invoices, including weekly payment runs.
6. Process journals and manual payments, and control fixed assets.
7. Update and test the AP system quarterly, ensuring accurate vendor data in Oracle.
8. Collaborate on finance transformation projects to improve AP processes.
