The successful applicant will be responsible for working collaboratively with depot General Managers in Chesterfield and Hemel Hempstead, as well as the Heads of Function for Vehicle Engineering and Site Facilities, providing HR expertise to improve team and business performance through the development and implementation of people priorities and strategy, informed by business and commercial knowledge, leveraging central HR interventions and insight. What you’ll do: Your role as Regional People Manager will see you support and drive the tactical and transactional HR agenda alongside the depot leadership teams and Senior People Partner (Primary and Engineering) Responsible for working across site people teams to ensure the tactical execution of people plans and priorities is achieved through best practice solutions Work with the talent development team to ensure that development plans are in place for all high potential individuals Responsible for creating and delivering an employee engagement and change management program Guiding and coaching our managers to make effective people decisions Advising and supporting with employee relations and best practices Developing and managing the HR Advisor Supporting with ad-hoc projects such as TUPE, restructures, retention and succession etc Who you are: Minimum CIPD Level 5 qualified or equivalent Experience of working with and managing trade union relationships, pay negotiations and dispute resolution Significant experience in a HR Management role, ideally within a logistics, retail, FMCG or manufacturing environment People management experience Experience dealing with complex ER issues Ideally have some experience of working within a unionised environment Ability to develop HR strategies and deliver change Why Gist?
