Who you will be Supporting?
CB - I’m looking for you to assist me to do the things I love. I am a young lady with learning disabilities and some complex health needs, including epilepsy, so experience of this would be essential.
You must be a happy, calm, enthusiastic and trustworthy, to be a part of my team. You will assist me to conduct the life I want and encourage and develop my communication skills including Makaton and picture cards.
Sometimes I need a quiet environment in my home, but I love being around people who have a great personality and can make me laugh. I really enjoy listening to music – especially reggae (Bob Marley is my favourite). I’d love it if you liked these things too.
I’d love for people to join my team who are 100% reliable and able to provide me with personal care support.
AH - has limited communication skills and uses a small amount of Makaton. While AH has a small vocabulary, with a regular staff team, they will learn to communicate effectively with him. AH is a very active person and has planned activities every weekday. You will need to be a confident driver and physically fit as essential requirements for this role as you will be required to juggle and engage in multiple appointments which include:
* Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, and Friday - Rare Breeds Centre
* Monday and Tuesday - Farm Day, assisting with wheelbarrows and other farmyard activities.
* Wednesday - Arts and Crafts. You will attend a group with vulnerable adults, so being confident and knowledgeable of learning difficulties is a must.
