SALES MANAGER – (UK)

We are looking for an experienced Sales Manager to join our team. This is a fantastic opportunity for a Sales Manager looking for their next challenge in the field of colour and additive concentrates/masterbatch, particularly in the cable and wires market. Further to their acquisition of PW Hall in 2022, Colloids Group have ambitious plans for the company and the Sales Manager will be integral to these plans.
The successful candidate will be responsible for managing and increasing sales to selected existing customers and for developing new business for PWH’s whole product range at new accounts. This role will cover activity in the UK and some of our export markets and the successful applicant should be prepared to spend time away traveling and in the office on a regular basis.
PW Hall is based in Scotland and has 50 years’ experience at the forefront of the plastics industry. Our longstanding international status in the formulation and manufacture of colour and additive masterbatch, gives us the reputation of being a leading manufacturer within our field of expertise, particularly in the wire and cable and general PVC market.
DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
* Develop the existing customer portfolio, including growth and retention strategies.
* Strongly drive new business development, targeting the full product range.
* With the Managing Director develop a strategy for aggressive business growth within our key markets.
* Prepare and submit regular reports on customer visits.
* Participate in monthly sales meetings to report on latest sales figures and to provide an update on new businessdevelopment.
* Participate in the preparation of the annual sales budget and longer-term business plans.
* The successful candidate will need to spend time at our plant in Glasgow and we are open to candidates with relevant experience located either in the UK or Europe.
EXPERIENCE & SKILLS
* Proactive and ambitious with the ability to deliver results.
* Ability to travel on a regular basis, working remotely and independently when needed.
* Exceptional key account management and sales management experience.
* General chemical industry experience of both a commercial and technical nature is essential.
* Understanding of applicable raw materials and masterbatch formulations a benefit.
* Able to work both alone and as part of a team.
