Deans Community High School is seeking to appoint a highly motivated and dynamic individual who is committed to improvement and excellence.
The successful candidate will support the vision for the school and implement strategies to achieve this vision. This is a key post which comes at an exciting time for education in the school. Deans Community High School is a comprehensive non-denominational school situated in the Deans area of Livingston and serves a cluster of five primary schools.
The school roll is currently 967 and is a very supportive environment with a relentless focus on driving up standards. The School provides a broad education for young people from first year through to sixth year.
The school offers a full curriculum. The successful candidate will have the necessary experience and leadership skills to lead a team and assist in taking forward the principles of Curriculum for Excellence in order to support the improvement agenda of the authority.
Effective learning and teaching is the core business of all staff. It is, therefore, essential that all staff set high expectations to encourage young people to be all they can be in order that they achieve their full potential. This will allow them to leave school as effective contributors, successful learners, confident individuals, and responsible citizens.
