About the Role
We are currently recruiting a Project Manager to join the energy division, managing the delivery of complex protection and control systems projects across the Power Transmission sector. These projects will involve the upgrade and modification of substations and critical infrastructure.
The ideal candidate will have experience in delivering engineering projects within the power or similarly regulated sectors, along with strong leadership and commercial acumen. Occasional travel to sites will be required.
Key Responsibilities Include:
Manage and deliver a portfolio of projects, ensuring they meet time, quality, and budget requirements.
Take ownership of project finances, including forecasting and margin control.
Lead and motivate multi-disciplinary teams including hardware, software, and site engineers.
Manage subcontractor performance and ensure alignment with project goals.
Maintain client relationships and represent the business in progress meetings and stakeholder updates.
Ensure all projects comply with relevant QHSE standards, supported by the company's dedicated advisors.
Contribute to securing future work by delivering outstanding service and fostering long-term partnerships.
Skills & Experience Required
Proven project management experience in an engineering or regulated industry (Power Transmission preferred).
Proficiency in using MS Project to plan and monitor project activities.
Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills.
Commercially aware, with the ability to mitigate risks and resolve challenges.
Strong leadership and team management abilities.
Full UK driving license and willingness to travel when required.
Desirable:
Familiarity with NEC3/4 contracts.
APM Practitioner Qualification or equivalent project management accreditation.
Experience supporting project bids or proposals.
