We are a 24/7 supported living service, looking for caring Support Workers to join our team at North Kirklees. We run three buildings, one based in Mirfield (The Mews), one in Heckmondwike (Brighton Court), and the other in Cleckheaton (Wilton Court).
This service supports adults who have a learning disability and/or physical health or communication needs to be independent in their own homes in a supported setting.
We work on a 10-week rolling rota to cover the service.
The role consists of supporting and assisting adults with learning disabilities, mental health problems, and challenging behaviour. This will include helping them with their personal development, including helping them to gain control of practical living skills such as preparing meals, doing laundry, and maintaining their personal hygiene.
Waking Nights:
You will work shifts on a 7-day rota system including weekends and Public Holidays.
Earliest start will be 10pm and latest finish will be 7am.
There will be some cleaning duties and admin tasks as this is a Waking Night post.
Requirements:
It is essential that you have a high level of understanding of Adult Social Care.
You must be able to demonstrate a commitment to personal and professional training and development and possess a basic awareness of both health and safety issues and food hygiene.
