You will have completed an apprenticeship and relevant electrical qualification. Your ability to learn quickly and use your own initiative to solve problems is essential for this role and you will train alongside an experienced Technician to ensure you gain all the skills and knowledge. As well as carrying out planned & reactive maintenance on our electrical assets, you will work towards a Licence to Operate Qualification to enable you to operate and maintain water treatment assets and processes. Key responsibilities : You’ll be responsible for wiring, installing, maintaining and controlling the high diversity of electrical equipment necessary to treat and distribute water. This includes: Calibrating and mainta ining techn ical analytical equipment to adhere to water quality Proactively investigate asset trends and carry out electrical interventions Manag e and assist electrical framework contractors and internal high voltage, optimisation and automation teams U tilise electrical drawings and extensive electrical knowledge to troubleshoot and resolve issues Lia i se with other team members to react to technical issues to maintain water supply Stand-by and overtime You’ll need a flexible approach to working hours as you will be required to take part in a standby rota. To be able to undertake your standby duties you will need to live within the area highlighted in the job posting. Stand-by would typically be worked at least one day per week, this would attract an additional stand-by payment for being available. In the event of a call out, you will receive overtime payments per hour for work carried out.
