THE ROLE
This role is an integral part of the localisation Tech team. You will be responsible for the localisation of TV Spots, Trailers, and Social Media content including graphics insertion, subtitling, dubbed audio layback and encoding of files for International broadcast and online distribution. Your role and responsibilities will vary according to the needs of the business, but will include:
* Localisation of content – graphics insertion, subtitling and dubbed audio layback.
* Finalise localised AV content for international distribution.
* Encode and transcode files to various broadcast and online formats.
* Execute standards and frame rate conversions.
* Participate in the editing of TV Spot cutdowns, social media and promo content.
* Upload and download content to and from various Digital Asset Management systems.
* Ensure adherence to specific studio naming conventions and the DMS folder structure.
* Organise projects and jobs that you work on.
* Ensure clear and thorough handovers for the team.
* Lead big batches and more complex jobs.
* Support your shift team leader in the daily running of shifts, ensuring smooth operations.
* Act as second in command for your Shift Team Leader and Technical Account Managers when needed.
* Assist the Customer Service team with any technical queries related to specific jobs.
* Help train new Tech members and assist in cross-departmental training.
* Support the Operations team daily to ensure efficient running of all areas.
* Communicate efficiently with your team and Customer Service on any issues encountered and job deadlines.
* Flag any hardware/software issues to your line manager, shift team leader and IT, especially if they hinder daily tasks.
Requirements
We create an ‘ideal’ candidate profile for every role to help with career expectations and progression:
* 2 years’ experience in a similar post-production environment.
* Proficient in Adobe Premiere Pro.
* Proficient in Adobe Media Encoder and Adobe Audition.
* Broad knowledge of digital video file formats and encoding/transcoding software.
* Experience working with online and broadcast video formats and deliverables.
* A technical understanding of video and audio signals.
* Broad knowledge of post-production workflows.
* Initiative to offer creative solutions to issues within post-production workflows.
* Ability to produce a wide range of content with a quick turnaround.
* Excellent organisational skills.
