This is an exciting opportunity to work within the Retail Quality Assurance Team in a newly developed role. You will be part of the Senior Management team and will play a critical role in building a more dynamic QA model including prioritisation principles and risk parameters. You will support the Head of QA in developing short and long term plans for sample sizes, test frequency and testing methodology, using your communication and influencing skills, you will present your plans to stakeholders and leadership to gain agreement. You will also support the smooth running of the testing teams by; capacity planning, tracking and supporting on operational elements such as; team risk and control for key processes, team budget, team spend, recruitment, recognition, team ways of working and more. This role won't duplicate what other Senior Managers or functions are there to do, but instead act as a connector and enabler. At Nationwide we offer hybrid working wherever possible. What you'll be doing A typical day will include future planning, understanding how current results, changes or emerging risks may impact the future testing plans. This could include deep dives of data to try and find trends or insights. You'll work closely with the QA testing teams, so may get involved in other activities as needed. At this time the role has no line manager responsibilities but we'll need you to help motivate and inspire your colleagues and develop others. About you You'll be an experienced Risk professional, with a broad range of experience ideally from a financial services background. You'll bring: Experience of short term and long-term planning ideally in an outcome testing or controls environment. Ability to translate information into compelling, actionable insight and recommendations and present information in a logical and professional format to senior managers. Working knowledge of Governance, Risk and Compliance frameworks and controls to support regulatory compliance. Sophisticated analytical and problem-solving skills including advanced proficiency in MS Excel, with the ability to interpret multiple sources of information. A proven ability to automate processes effectively, together with an understanding of the importance of robust data and processes. An ability to work under pressure with multiple pieces of work at the same time, together with strong prioritisation/planning skills to deliver accurate, relevant and timely information. Proven ability to work across all levels of the organisation and form effective professional relationships with experience of managing and influencing key stakeholders.
