An excellent opportunity has arisen for an experienced Financial Reporting Manager to join our Finance team based in Solihull. You will be responsible for managing a team of three as well as delivering the management reporting, group budgets, forecasts as well as delivering ad hoc financial support. We are currently looking for an experienced Cement & Packed Finance Reporting Manager to join our team based in Solihull, Birmingham (hybrid working pattern 2 / 3 days in the office per week). Main Responsibilities The Cement & Packed Finance Reporting Manager leads the team in the provision of accurate, timely, and compliant financial reporting and control. Working closely with the UK Finance Leader and wider UK / Ireland finance team. Key accountabilities and responsibilities will include: • Manage within the team of three the reporting of key Balance Sheet / P&L accounts around Revenues / Rebates / Fixed Assets / Provisions • Lead the Cement and Packed EXQL monthly management reporting submissions and relationships with CRH group • Monthly management reporting across the UK Cement and Packed business. To include P&L / Balance sheet and OCF consolidated up into group • Support the production of the month end reporting pack and other standardised reports, providing commentary and analysis on performance as required • Lead / Support the UK Finance Leader on Monthly / Quarterly / Annual budgeting, forecasting, and strategic planning cycles • Ensuring UK compliance with USGAAP / IFRS reporting ; SOx control framework; CRH corporate governance • Accountable for the completion / review of relevant Monthly / Quarterly / Annual SOx controls within UK Cement Finance PCW • Manage the UK Cement and Packed Finance support within the statutory audit process / internal audit process alongside the UK &I Risk & Controls Manager • Analysing trends and performance to feed into forecasts and long-term financial planning • Build good working relationships with key stakeholders to ensure that corporate compliance framework is adhered to The Ideal Candidate The ideal candidate will be a highly motivated self starter with strong analytical, technical accounting, and financial modelling skills and is comfortable working in a fast paced corporate environment Essential experience: Qualified Accountant ( ACA / CIMA / ACCA ) with relevant financial reporting and control experience Experience of managing / leading high performing teams within a financial reporting environment Month end / year end / statutory reporting experience is essential Strong Technical accounting back ground. Knowledge of USGAAP would be advantageous Operating and managing within a SOx or equivalent control environment Ability to manage consolidated group reporting within a matrix environment / large business plc. Management of Internal Audit frameworks Advanced Excel / Microsoft office skills alongside data query management within tools such as Business Warehouse and a financial ERP system Excellent problem solving skills with the ability to identify and drive process change and improvement Well developed communication skills with demonstrable stakeholder engagement and management skills Desirable experience: Previous experience with managing Capital Investment budgets / programs Previous experience within the Cement, Powders, Quarrying, Building products industry Experience of using consolidation software Experience with SAP/ business warehouse Why Us We offer an extensive range of career development opportunities and industry-leading rewards, incentives and benefits.
