About The Role Main job responsibilities Embrace the DNV vision to be a trusted voice to tackle global transformations Conduct all activities in a safe manner with due regard to own safety and safety of others Strong commitment to environmental protection and energy efficiency Inspection and classification onboard of ships in compliance with DNV Rules for Classification, statutory requirements, international and the UK Standards. About You Candidate requirements Master or Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (i.e. Naval Architecture, Maritime, Electrical or Mechanical Engineering) or Certificate of Competency (Master Mariner or Engineer Class I - Motor) Experience as class and statutory Surveyor, Management System Auditor or Ship Superintendent would be an advantage Experiences in electrical and control systems, management system auditing are advantageous Physical abilities necessary to perform regular functions of the job, such as climbing pilot ladders, tank inspections, crew boat launches, voyage surveys. As the role will require work on offshore installations, the candidate should be physically capable of completing OPITO offshore survival training and obtain medical fitness Flexibility to work offshore and outside normal working hours Willingness to travel within the UK and within the West Europe region Good communication skills in the English language, both verbal and in writing Be independent, self-organized team player with a positive customer-oriented mindset Asks for and acts on feedback to learn and improve Holds a valid UK driver’s license
