Fodder is an award-winning farm shop and cafe celebrating the very best food and drink from Yorkshire. Fodder acts as a shop window for local farmers and producers, helping consumers to access local food easily. All the profits from Fodder go to help fund the charitable work of the Yorkshire Agricultural Society. Fodder is well known for its quality and exceptional customer service.
Purpose of the Role
This is an exciting time to join the Fodder team, as we look to develop and expand our catering offer. The ideal candidate will have the initiative, drive, and determination to succeed in the role, as we continue to grow. You will assist in the overall daily operations of the kitchen and support Fodder takeaway, helping to ensure great quality food and service by the catering team.
Working Pattern
15 hours per week, 9.30am to 3pm, working 3 days out of the 7 operational days of the week, with 1 day including a weekend day.
Key Responsibilities
1. Prepare, cook, and present food to ensure consistent, high-quality products in a timely manner.
2. Liaise closely with the catering team to ensure individual food orders are communicated clearly.
3. Ensure the pot wash area is kept clean and tidy and that all pots/equipment are washed and cleaned efficiently.
4. Carry out daily/weekly cleaning jobs to maintain a high level of cleanliness in the kitchen.
5. Work alongside kitchen team members in line with Society procedures and policies.
6. Ensure the Fodder HACCP plan is followed and complete all relevant paperwork.
7. Follow and adhere to all health and safety regulations for Fodder.
8. Work with the catering team to execute successful events, which may include occasional evenings.
9. Recognise the importance of fairness and equality in the workplace.
10. Act as an ambassador for the Society values.
