An exciting opportunity has arisen for a dynamic and motivated person to join the Community Wellbeing and Mental Heath (CWAMH) senior management team at Sheffield Children's NHS Foundation Trust. Within the CWAMH Care Group we provide services that support and nurture the physical, emotional, and mental health of children and young people. The post holder will exemplify the Trust values in their own behaviours and will embody compassionate leadership and will be able to manage a demanding workload and deliver to deadline.
We are looking for a Service Manager with a positive mindset who motivates and drives others forward with enthusiasm and inspiration. You will enjoy working with a range of stakeholders both within the Trust and across the health and care system.
You will be responsible for service delivery, planning and performance management of clinical services within CWAMH, including Occupational Therapy, Physiotherapy and Dietetics. You shouldpossess exceptional communication, negotiation and interpersonal skills and thus the ability to quickly develop strong working relationships across a range of professional groups.
Main duties of the job
Key responsibilities will include leading on effective and efficient management of the complete clinical pathway, service planning and improvement, development of business cases, contracting and workforce planning.
The successful candidate will play a significant part in ensuring that safety and quality as well as assurance and governance processes are fit for purpose.

Job responsibilities
The Service Manager will lead on a number of clinical service areas across the Care Group. The activities undertaken will require the following actions and behaviours:-
4. Working closely with clinicians in order to achieve optimal decisions for overall patient care.
5. Building processes around patients.
6. In the interests of patient care, supporting the principle of treatment as close to the patients home as possible.
7. Ensuring that the decisions taken are fully informed and properly balanced, taking account of collective, as well as individual need, and the requirements to manage within available resources.
8. Genuinely promoting and supporting delivery of national and local healthcare targets as one of the ways of raising healthcare standards for all.
9. Wherever possible, seeking to set higher local targets for delivery of healthcare than are prescribed normally.
10. Always comparing to high performing organisations to ensure continuous learning from others.
11. Supporting, involving and developing staff whilst requiring delivery and performance to high standards.
12. Contributing to the partnerships within the community with health, social care, academic partners and major business, amongst others.
