We are pleased to be able to offer the opportunity for experienced Health Care Assistants to come and join our expanding teams on our Mental Health Services for Older People wards within the Directorate of Mental Health.
The Mental Health Services for Older People (MHSOP) wards based at the Bennion Centre support patients who are over 65 who have mental ill health, which is not from a physical cause. The patients will likely have diagnosis of Schizophrenia, mood disorders or anxiety. We are looking to recruit caring and compassionate healthcare support workers who are able to support patients on the ward with their activities of daily living as well as their mental health recovery.
The role of the HCA will be to work as part of the nursing team. It will support people through their recovery with both their physical health and their mental health needs.
The ideal candidate will have experience of working within a healthcare setting, excellent communication skills and be passionate about providing great care to patients.

Important information about these roles:
Please note that the Healthcare Assistants work a rota system of Long Days (12 hr shifts) Day and Night covering a 7-day working week.
We can offer Part time and Full time posts, however the minimum you will be required to work is 23 hours per week.
These are also permanent roles not bank roles and candidates will require their own right to work in the UK as we are unable to offer sponsorship.
